Dear Family,
Thank you for the letters. I really
can't believe I'm 20 years old I'm not a teenager anymore, but I feel
like a little kid still. This morning I ate a cake, and a pancake. I don't
really have anything planned for my birthday today, I haven't got the
package but it should be coming soon. I liked those pictures of the
snowmobiles they looked cool.
Wow the time in the mission is moving by really fast, every
change seems to move by quicker and quicker. Changes are coming up on
the 5th of March, I have no idea if I'm staying or getting changed.
Dad asked when we talk to our investigators about baptism, we
almost always try to mention it the first visit, and on the second
visit but a ''fecha'' baptismal date.
Yesterday we had divisions, so I got to go to another branch which was
cool. We got to sacrament and they asked who's going to do the ''mission
minute''. The other missionary turned to me and said he can. So I had
to give a little thought in sacrament, it turned out well. I read a
little from the talk by Dieter F. Uchdorf, the doubt you doubts one. That same day my companion and I read that entire talk at a members house and everybody loved it.
Yesterday we were walking and a drunk guy came up to us and
was telling us he wants to change. He had a beer in his hands and we
asked him to throw it away, and he did it right away. Then my companion
gave him one of the pamphlets we give out with our telephone number on
the back and we managed to get him on a bus home. The cool thing was he
called us back this morning. It was the first time in my mission
somebody has called us back and we put our phone number on every
pamphlet we give out it.
I'm learning a lot and I am doing great here.
Love Elder Weston
